Minimum rental period is 3 days. Daily rates are calculated at 1/5 of the weekly rate for rentals of 3 to 5 days, and 1/7 of the weekly rate for rentals longer than 1 week. Client is advised to return the vehicle with a full gas tank and to retain copies of gas receipts. After reservation you will receive a voucher. Speed limits in the Czech Republic are as follows: City = 37mph/50kph, Open Roads = 55mph/90kph, Highways = 81mph/130kph. Traffic travels on the right and passing occurs on the left. Streetcars, however, should be passed on the right side. Most gas stations are located on the outskirts of the city. Prague has few gas stations, so refuel on the expressways outside the city. The stations on the expressway are open 24 hours. Cars are required to have a toll sticker to travel on the expressways. This sticker costs approx. $27 and is placed on the upper right hand corner of the windshield. Cars rented in the Czech Republic will have the sitcker on the windshield.
In Prague, parking at "automats" with a green stripe have a six-hour maximum and those with an orange stripe have a 2-hour max. On street parking is exclusively on the right side of the road, with the exception of one-way streets.
Cars rented in the Czech Republic are not allowed into the following countries: Albania, Bosnia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and Yugoslavia.
